Shyina is a freelance writer. She is passionate about justice and fighting for the truth. Having a solid career in the paralegal studies for twelve years until recognizing the right side was no better than the wrong side. It was time for a happier and justified lifestyle change for her physical well-being.
Going back to college and learning a new career helped Shyina find her true calling in creative writing and film production.
Many people love being in front of the camera, but she believes the real magic is behind the camera. Going to film school broadened her horizon to what goes on behind the scenes and revealing the grit it takes to be an actual filmmaker, writer, and producer.
Shyina recently completed a short screenplay, The Misadventures of Asia Minor, which won the best sci-fi/fantasy script in 2018 from Hollywood Dreams International Writers' Competition. Moreover, Madame Noir is the first script from her Tales from the Dark Side mini-series, which is currently in progress in becoming a podcast.
Shyina's short screenplay Golden Heights won the best action/sci-fi screenplay in December 2018 and January 2019 from the Hollywood Just4Shorts competition.
She realizes how powerful words can be, and if she knows how to talk and write to get a clear message across to others, there is hope to help others that can relate to her and recognize we all have the right to make a choice and our choices determine our destiny.
“Unlike all the other art forms, film is able to seize and render the passage of time, to stop it, almost to possess it in infinity. I’d say that film is the sculpting of time.”
– Andrei Tarkovsky
